Anthony Shawn Lanier "Tony" Owens was born on January 1, 1975 to the union of the late Joseph and Shirley Owens in Alaska. On Monday June 11, 2018 he was called to his heavenly home. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Terrance Owens, Jr.
Tony graduated from Baker High School in Mobile, AL and attended the school of Culinary Arts in Tennessee. He was known for his famous cooking skills. He was employed with the city of Monroeville.
He was united in holy matrimony to Taneka Lett Owens and they enjoyed their life together for nineteen years as husband and wife. This union was BLESSED with the birth of one son, Anthony Owens Jr.
The memories of his life will forever be cherished by his loving and devoted wife, Taneka Owens, and son Anthony Owens Jr., both of Tunnel Springs, AL; four brothers: Joseph (Ornicka) Owens and Kenny (Rebecca) Owens all of Orlando, FL., Eric (Tonya) Owens of Dallas, TX, and Brandon (Amber) Owens of Daphne, AL: one sister, Shenese Riley of Monroeville, AL; a devoted mother-in-law, Novella Lett of Tunnel Springs, AL.; two sisters-in-law: Cheryl (Donald) Bell of Hillside, NJ and Stephanie (Wayne) Taite of Monroeville, AL; seven brothers-in-law; a devoted cousin, Patrick Pledger of Mobile, AL; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
