Arozina Armstrong Obituary

Mother Arozina Armstrong, a native of Monroeville, AL was born October 31, 1937, to the late Mrs. Maggie Lou Watson Dailey and Mr. Willie Taft Watson. She departed this life to her heavenly rest on November 13, 2022. A Woman of God, Strong Prayer Warrior and Loving Mother;  Mother Armstrong was married to Bishop Booker T. Armstrong on May 15, 1954, and to that union she was the loving mother of three sons and five daughters.

 

Mother Armstrong received the gift of the Holy Ghost after the birth of their second child, at the AOH Church of God in Peterman, AL. Mother Armstrong remained in the service of the Lord as a known “praying woman” in her home, church, and community for over sixty-four years. During service under the leadership of her husband, she was “a faithful and honorable Mother of the Church”. Mother Armstrong worked tirelessly along with Bishop Armstrong and birthed several ministries; remaining a faithful member of The Universal Church of Jesus Christ of the Apostles Faith Inc., in Monroeville, AL under the pastorship of Elder James Harris until her death.

 

Mother Arozina Armstrong was employed in the commercial industry as a chef for hospitals/hotels in Mississippi and Alabama. She was a dietary employee for Mobile County Boys Home. Mother Armstrong final years of employment were as a commercial seamstress for Vanity Fair and Val Mode Industry until her retirement. 

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers John A. (Kido) Watson and Willie Harvey Watson. One “beloved” sister Mrs. Christine Watkins and her oldest son O’neal Armstrong.

 

She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving and devoted husband of sixty-nine years: Bishop Booker T. Armstrong. Seven children: Mary Jo (David) Bailey of Carson, Ca,  Lorenza (Doris) Armstrong, Clifford Armstrong of Mobile, AL, Angela Lettrice Hobdy of Jacksonville, FL, Agnes Denise (Rudolph) White, and Veronica (Nicholas) Anderson of Mobile, AL and Jennifer Cornwell of Montgomery, AL, and a devoted son-in-love: Timothy B. Hobdy, Eightmile, AL. Three brothers: Robert Watson, Carson, CA, Clifton (Bettie) Watson, West Covina, CA and Benny Dailey of Florida. Two sisters: Evelyn Voncile Bendolph of Mobile, AL and Willa Bell Mosley of Monroeville, AL;  a loving devoted brother-in-law: Kenneth Watkins, Killeen, TX. 
Three sisters-in-laws: devoted Mary Lee Armstrong, Monroeville, AL, also Linda Armstrong and Pearlie Lee Armstrong, Mississippi. Ten grandchildren: Kevin O’Neal (Wonda) King, Columbus, SC, Joseph Nicholson, Virginia (Zeekie) Edwards and LaTanya C. Armstrong, of Mobile, AL, Shanna (Brent) Daniels, Los Angeles, CA, Jeremy B. Hobdy, Mobile, AL, Kierra P. Hobdy, Washington, DC, Renada D. White, Donte White and LaToya (Cornelius) McCants all in Mobile, AL. Eighteen (18) great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild with one expecting; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one devoted and caring niece, Mary Johnson and several devoted and caring nephews; and many caring church members and loving caregivers.
