Brenda Davison

Brenda Doris Davison (Mutt) was born on February 10, 1950.  She is the daughter of the late Howard and Missouri McCants.  Brenda was a caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She departed this world for her heavenly home on December 24, 2023 at the age of 73.

She joined Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church at an early age.  Brenda attended J.F. Shields High School where she graduated. Brenda then met and married the late Theophus Davison and to this union two children were born: Donald and Gwendolyn Davison both of Frisco City, Alabama.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, husband: Theophus; brothers: Howard and James; two sisters: Dollie Johnson and Quentelia Grant .

Brenda leaves to cherish her memories a son: Reverend Donald G. Davison of Frisco City, Alabama and a daughter: Gwendolyn A. Davison of Monroeville, Alabama; step-children: Belinda Davison,  Barbara Chandler, Lisa (Solomon) Johnson, Casandra Hale (Willie) Williams, Monica Burn, Darlene (Levi) Green, Beverly (Darryl)Townsend, Theophus Davison, Jr., Joseph (Barbara) Davison, Darrin Davison, Anthony Davison and David Smith;  four sisters: Gracie Jackson of Moss Point, Mississippi, Ernestine Jefferies. Los Angeles, California, Lela Thompson (Jimmy) Desoto, Texas and  Angela (Jerry) Knight, Moss Point, Mississippi; two brothers: Charlie (Joanne), Gautier, Mississippi, Ernest (Celestine) McCants, Beatrice, Alabama; 2 grandchildren: Gabrielle and Donald Davison, Jr.;  special friend: Ollie Blackmon; a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
