Emma Dailey Obituary

​Sister Emms Lee Dailey​ was born January 3, 1939 in Repton, AL. She was the fifth of six children born to the late Henry and Stella Dailey. She quietly departed her well-spent life on July 31, 2018 in Mobile, AL.

​Emma moved to New York City after graduating high school in Camden, AL in 1958. ​She retired from the New York Telephone Company in 1994. She was a faithful member of the Southern Baptist Church in New York City.  She returned to Alabama in 1994 to care for her ailing mother.

She was a faithful member of the St. Matthews Baptist Church where she served as church clerk.

​She found many loving anad caring friends and family in Beatrice, AL. Emma was an avid reader and doll collector.

​She was preceded in death by her three sisters, Janie Bell, Stella Mae, and Dorethea; and two brothers, Willie Henry Dailey and Joe Louis Dailey. She leaves to mourn her passing her beloved daughter, Angela Parsettam Lola of Pune, India; a treasured grandson, Antar (Brooke) Lola of Houston, TX; a loving niece/daughter, Sandra (Kirk) Russell of New York City; three nieces, Jennifer (Reginald) Perkins of Waldorf, MD., Pam Carpenter of Ohio, and Sandy Nettles of Cleveland, OH., two nephews, Joe (Monica) Dailey, Jr., of Selma, AL., and Kenneth (Marva) of Ohio, two devoted sisters-in-law, Mrs. Edris Dailey of Cleveland, OH and Mrs. Georgianna Dailey of New York City; two devoted cousins, Mr. Arvin Dailey and Mrs. Diane Hale; one maternal uncle, Mr. Herman Lee Dailey of San Antonio, TX; longtime friends, Ms. Carolyn Jean Cunningham and Mrs. Annie Shelton; a host of other family and friends. Special thanks to Debra, Priscilla and Carolyn for going the extra mile.
