Georgia Peoples Obituary

Georgia Mae Peoples was born on November 15, 1955 to the late Arthur Williams and the late Norbell Williams-Young of Monroeville, AL. She gained her wings on Monday, April 3, 2023 at USA Hospital of Mobile, AL exchanging mortality for immortality.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father: Norbell Williams-Young and Arthur Williams Sr.; her husband: Dean Peoples; two brothers:  Arthur Williams Jr. and James Williams; one nephew: Jeremy Watson; step-father: John Young and one aunt: Minnie Williams.

She accepted Christ at an early age, at the Forehand AME Church.  Later, she served as President of the Missionary Department. She was a faithful church and choir member until her health failed. One of her favorite song, which she led, was “This Joy I Have, the World Didn’t Give it to me and the World Can’t Take it Away.”  She was educated at the Union High School in (Clausell) Monroeville, AL. She retired from the Monroe County School System. Georgia served in the church wherever she was needed. She loved God, her church and family. She always had a smile for everyone.

 She leaves to cherish her memories one son: Michael Peoples, Sr., two beautiful grandchildren, Makyla and Michael Peoples, Jr.;  one sister: Rosie Tunstall; one nephew: Tyrone Bullard;  two nieces: one devoted (Brenda Bullard) of Monroeville, AL  and Tina Bullard of Thomasville, AL; one great niece, Zakendria Bullard of Monroeville, AL;  three great nephews:  Quentin Bullard of Opelika,  AL, Kendrick Woods of Stockton, AL, and Ja’Cedric Penn of Monroeville, AL; seven aunts: (three devoted) "Earnestine Bryant, Flora Marshall and Maebell Nord";  Annie Pearl Kidd, Lillie Bell Boykin and  Minnie Ghee all of Monroeville, AL  and Bennie Mae McCall of Atlanta, GA; four uncles: (one devoted) Nolan (Lucy) Boykin; Arthur (Mary) Boykin and Roma McCall all of Monroeville, AL and Robert Boykin Jr. of Youngstown, Ohio; a hosts of cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
