Mr. Irah Joe Abney was born January 28, 1957 to the late Mr. Willie Floyd Abney and Mrs. Ola Mae Abney of Monroeville, AL. He was known as (Dooney), (Joe), (Tootsie), & (Mott). He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. Tom (Bertha) McArthur, two siblings Mr. Floyd Abney, and Mrs. Mary Jane Kyles.
Irah Joe Abney leaves to cherish a loving and devoted mother, Mrs. Ola Mae Abney, Monroeville, AL, a dedicated and devoted friend, Ms. Shontrell Latrice Burke, a step-daughter Ti’Kera Burkes both of Mobile, AL, seven children; Mr. Tony Richardson, Huntsville, AL, Mr. Christopher Lavel Wiggins, Mobile, AL, Mr. Irah Joe Abney Jr., & Mr. Jeremy Williams, both of Monroeville, AL, Mr. Irah Jamar Johnson, Huntsville, AL, Mr. Irah Keshon Abney, Birmingham, AL, & Mr. Jordan Abney, Chicago, IL, two God daughters Ms. India Marie Jones, Ms. Jessica N, Johnson both of Mobile, AL & one God Son, Jarrod M. Johnson, Mobile, AL. He leaves to cherish three sisters; Mrs. Loretta (Raymond) Hatchett, Millbrook, AL, Ms. Aldrena Abney, & Ms. Peggy Broughton both of Monroeville, AL, three brothers; Mr. Kim (Sherral) Abney, Ackworth, GA, Mr. Frank Brown, Decatur, GA, & Donald Abney, Ft. Walton FL. He was blessed with a large number of grandchildren and great grand’s, a devoted niece, Ms. Deitra (Rodney) Mobley, Acworth, GA, and a host of nieces and nephews.
