James Stanton, 83, of Beatrice, Alabama was born to Sannie and Mary Stanton on May 6, 1939. He made his earthly transition from this life on March 10, 2023 at home.
He was a native of Beatrice. James was married to Lonnie S. Nobles. He received his education at Monroe County Training School now J. F. Shields High School and graduated in 1960. Earlier in life he joined Morning Star Baptist Church and later joined the Deacon Board. He was a maintenance worker.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lonnie Stanton: his parents: Sannie and Mary Stanton; a brother: Cenioa Stanton; sisters: Vera Black, Belvian Jackson, Annie Thomas and Drecilla McCorvey.
He is survived by one son: Deandre Stanton of Beatrice, Alabama; three sisters: Sarah Stanton of Arizona, Jewel Peterson of Pennsylvania and Stella Stanton of California; two grandchildren: Jessykah Nobles and Joshun Nobles; sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-laws and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
