Jethrolonia " Boot " Stallworth Obituary

Jethrolonia Stallworth, known to family as “Boot” and to colleagues and friends as “Jet” was born on January 18, 1939, to Jeff “Doc” and Lula Wiggins in Tunnel Springs, Alabama.
Boot accepted Christ at an early age and was considered to be a very lucky child being the 7th Born. Later in life, she attributed her “luck” to God and his awesome blessings! She matriculated through Monroe County Public Schools and graduated high school in 1957. Shortly after graduation, she relocation to California. When one of her classmates learned of her relocating to California, she asked her to check on a guy she was dating. Well, that favor resulted in her meeting, dating, and marrying her husband, Leston C. Stallworth in 1958.
Boot worked for Xerox for 26 years as a Machine Operator and was a union steward fighting for and with her co-workers for pay raises, health insurance, dental insurance, and retirement benefits. She was known to many people for her culinary skills and revered for making the best peach cobbler and sweet potato pies ever! She proudly and steadfastly raised her four children to be humble and God-fearing. She loved her family and had a bond with her siblings like no other.
Boot enjoyed traveling to Alabama annually to see her parents, family, and friends. Her annual trips often included her siblings, that lived in California and their children. After Boot retired from Xerox, she relocated to Alabama and built a beautiful home on the same road she grew up on. She enjoyed being back home and being able to spend time with her siblings daily. She enjoyed reminisc- ing about “the good old days” and her drives with her sister Noot on the Coon trail.
After an astonishing display of courage, strength and resiliency, a call from God came that could not go unanswered. Boot received her Crown of Glory on February 23, 2023, with her daughter and grandson by her side. Her family members who preceded her in death cheerfully ushered her into the gates of heaven and they include, her parents Jeff “Doc” and Lula Wiggins, her husband Leston C. Stallworth, Sr., her sisters Georgia (NaNa), Rosetta (Hun), Eloise (Gip), Callie, Voncile, Gloria (Noot) and Dorothy; brothers Edward (Bubba) and Samuel (Sunny Boy) and were waiting with open arms.
She leaves to cherish her wonderful memories two sisters: Annie D. (Baby Sister) and Juanita (Willie Abram); a half-sister Aundretta (Clinton) and two brothers: Thomas Lewis and Anthony (Sugar Moon); two brother- in-loves: David and Willie Abram, one sister-in-love: Margie, four children: Leston Jr. (Carrietta), Timothy Jerome (Shirline), Wendy (Eugene) and Darryl (Karen); eight grandchildren: Joy (Duane), Donte (Candace), Justin, Craigeona (Tre), Julius, Kendall, Sierra and LaPreicia (Jason); ten great-grandchildren: Danae, Jadyn, Duane Jr. (DJ #1), Johnathan, Jacob, Donte Josiah (DJ #2), Dhilyn, Ace, Dehvyn and Dynvhr; 72 nieces and nephews, a special cousin, Eunice Marks, special friends Maggie Laudermill-Williams and Frank Scroggins, along with a host of family and friends.
