Mr. Rico Ricardo Crosby was born on January 31, 1991 to Shirley Murphy and Willie "Sonny" Crosby in Monroeville, AL. He was raised in Beatrice, AL and resided there for the last years of his life. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Sallie Murphy, Hildren Stallworth, and William Crosby.
Rico accepted Christ at an early age and attended Morning star Missionary Baptist Church in Beatrice, AL. with his grandmother Sallie. He was a 2009 graduate of J.F. Shields High School in Beatrice, AL. After finishing high school he attended Reid State Technical College (Evergreen, AL) to obtain his CDL, but did not finish. However that didn't stop him from fulfilling his dream of driving a big truck. Rico worked at several hard labor companies. He knew how to fix anything that was broken, and tried to help anyone who asked. He was the most respectful, kind, humorous and intelligent person that you could meet. "Reek" was the most the handsome black boy with pretty black hair that you'd ever want to see. He always kept a pair of sunglasses with him.
Rico lost his life in Baldwin County on July 31, 2018. He leaves to cherish his memory his dad, Willie Crosby of Beatrice, AL; his mom Shirley Murphy of Montgomery, AL; his siblings: A'lexus "sis" Crosby of Mobile, AL., Jacqueline (Al) Williams of Tampa, FL., Cassius Sean Crosby of Oakland, CA., Hassan Crosby of Solothurn, Switzerland, William Devon Crosby of Colorado Springs, CO., Kimberly Simmons of Brooklyn, NY., Shikra (Delve) Smith of Queens, NY., Jacob Crosby and Shandora Crosby both of Beatrice, AL.; his paternal grandmother whom he loved dearly, Mrs. Jessie Mae Knight of Beatrice, AL., a special aunt, Viola Murphy of Montgomery, AL., his nephew Djay Lett of Montgomery, AL., his special lady Shaliyah Jackosn, and a host of uncles, aunts, with four great aunts and great uncles, specials cousins, nephews, nieces other relatives and many friends.
