Travis Davis Obituary

Travis (Loody) Davis, age 44, of Monroeville, AL passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023.  He was born March 23, 1978 to Rosie Mills Davis and the late Rev. Robert Davis in Monroeville, AL. He was a native of Monroeville and was a 1996 graduate of Monroe County High School in Monroeville, AL. He received an Art Scholarship and attended two years at Devry Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA. He received Christ at an early age and became a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church and later joined Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church of Monroeville, AL. He was a devoted member of both churches. He later became a member of Morning Star Masonic Lodge #243 in Frisco City, AL.

He was preceded in death by his sister: Phyllis Elaine Davis; his father: Rev. Robert Davis;  grandparents: Theodore and Mary Mills and Lonnie and Lillie Davis;  his aunt and uncle: Lillie and Henry Preyer, Jr.

 He leaves to cherish his precious memories his devoted mother: Rosie Davis of  Monroeville, AL; his brother Gregory Davis of Monroeville, AL; two god-sisters: Ramona Lewis-Daily of Monroeville, AL and Angela Clark of Pennsylvania; one niece: Aurriyonna Davis;  four nephews: Shamar Davis, O’marian Davis, Kolby and Coty Mottley; ten aunts: Patsy Elliot of Tacoma, Washington; Annie Pearl Thomas of Memphis, TN; Mattie Caison, Gerry Dean Thames, Loni (Hayes) Kelly and Mary (Marvin) Vicks all of Philadelphia, PA; Christine Rivers of Knoxville, TN; Earnestine Cox of  South Carolina;  Lula Griggs and Tommie Johnson both of Monroeville, AL;  six uncles: Hasten Davis of Chicago, IL; Jessie Lee Davis of Boston, MA, Walter James ( Janie) Davis and Melvin Davis both of Memphis, TN; Alvin Mills of Monroeville, AL and Theodore Mills Jr. of Mobile, AL; devoted cousins: Kathy Preyer, Tammy Preyer, Sherry Millender, Jeneya Mills, Tiffany Mills and Erica Mills; devoted friends: Fred Parker, Willie Reese, Shawn Williams, Seneca Watts, John Martin and John Locke; a host of other cousins and friends. He was loved by many, and all that knew him would enjoy lasting memories of his beautiful smile and grace.
